14 common questions — beta signup to refunds. Not finding your answer? Email hello@horog.app.

Getting started

+Who is Horog for?
Indie makers shipping 3-10 side projects, side hustlers running a day job plus 1-3 sides, and freelancers juggling multiple clients — anyone whose revenue lives in five dashboards and time lives in their head, so they don’t know the real $/hour on anything. Concrete persona examples at Use Cases.
+How do I join the beta?
Drop your email on /beta. No card needed. First 100 makers get Pro free for 3 months. Beta runs 2026-06 to 2026-09. When the free period ends, your account auto-downgrades to Free — never a surprise charge.
+How long until I see my first data?
Most integrations sync within 30 minutes. Exception: App Store Connect publishes daily sales reports D+1 afternoon (US Pacific), so today’s revenue shows up tomorrow. Stripe and LemonSqueezy use real-time webhooks.
+Can I sign up with my work email?
Technically yes, but use a personal email. Job changes make data migration painful, and you probably don’t want side-project notifications hitting your work inbox. If you have a dedicated email for indie work, use that.

Integrations

+Which revenue sources are supported?
Five today — App Store Connect (direct, no RevenueCat), Google Play, Stripe, LemonSqueezy, Polar. All auto-sync via each platform’s API, refreshed hourly.
+Which time sources are supported?
Three today — Toggl Track, WakaTime, and Google Calendar. Toggl uses tags to attribute time to projects, WakaTime auto-tracks coding time, and Google Calendar maps events by calendar or title to projects.
+Why do you talk to App Store Connect directly instead of using RevenueCat?
Most indie SaaS routes App Store data through RevenueCat. We call Apple’s App Store Connect API directly. Upsides: lower cost (RevenueCat is ~$399/mo at scale), one less external dependency, stronger privacy. Downside: we don’t do entitlement management — but Horog only reads revenue, so direct is the right call for our use case. Full write-up at the blog post.
+When will Notion, Linear, GitHub be added?
Not in beta. V1.5 roadmap candidates: Notion (project metadata), GitHub (commit-derived time), Cursor / Claude Code (AI coding time). Priority will be driven by what beta users actually ask for.

How $/hour works

+How is $/hour calculated?
$/hour = revenue ÷ hours. Revenue is developer proceeds — after platform fees, refunds, and taxes. Hours are the raw total from your connected time sources. Multi-currency revenue converts via daily ECB rates to whatever display currency you pick.
+Do meetings, debugging, and planning count as time?
If they’re on a Google Calendar with a project assignment, or tagged in Toggl, yes — auto-included. If you only want coding time counted, connect WakaTime alone. Source selection is per-project.
+Revenue and time don't always land on the same day. Does that distort $/hour?
It can — that’s why we surface weekly and monthly $/hour, not daily, as the primary number. App Store revenue has a D+1 lag, Stripe is real-time, so daily numbers swing. Monthly smooths it out and is what you should use for decisions.

Billing

+How much does it cost?
Free forever (1 project · 2 integrations · 30-day data retention), Pro $9/mo (unlimited projects · all integrations · AI weekly insights), Pro+ $19/mo (Pro + bring-your-own-key for AI + advanced analytics). Full comparison at Pricing.
+What happens after the 3-month Pro free runs out for the first 100 beta makers?
You’ll get an email 24 hours before. If you don’t opt into paid Pro, your account auto-downgrades to Free. Your data stays — only the over-quota parts (extra projects / integrations) lock until you upgrade. Reactivate Pro any time and everything comes back instantly.
+What is your refund policy?
Full refund within 14 days of payment, no questions asked. Email hello@horog.app and it’s processed within 24 hours. After 14 days, refunds are reviewed case-by-case based on usage.
